Gallagher Plastics' facilities have been designed to form an integrated system of people and equipment capable of injection moulding high quality, functional parts using engineering resins.

Injection Moulding Machinery

A selection of modern horizontal presses ranging from 35 tonne to 480 tonne. Shot sizes range from 45 grams to 1920 grams. Injection moulding machine support equipment includes drying ovens, hopper loaders, hopper dryers, grinders, injection mould temperature controllers, conveyors and masterbatch dosers.

Engineering Services

  • "Mould Flow"™ analysis/validation
    This process enables Gallagher Plastics to undertake detailed studies to ascertain polymer behaviour during manufacture, which includes flow behaviour, structural properties of polymer and processing conditions. This enables the identification and elimination of problems at a very early conceptual design stage.
     
  • "Gating"
    A selection of gating options are available including: sub gating, tab gating, disc gating and valve gating
     
  • Runner Systems
    Variations of cold and hot runners.
     
  • Product Design
    Pro Engineer® 3D CAD system and solid modelling.
     
  • Robotics
    Gallagher Plastics have invested in robotics to create flexibility in labour while reducing variable costs.
